Accessibility

Accessibility statement.

UTA is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We design toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the spirit of GIGW 3.0 for Indian government websites. This is an ongoing effort, not a completed certification.

What we support

  • Semantic page structure, headings and landmarks
  • Skip link to main content
  • Keyboard-operable primary navigation (including dropdowns)
  • Focus styles for keyboard users; scroll margin under the sticky header
  • Forms with associated labels, validation messages and status announcements
  • Membership dialog focus management (trap, Escape, restore focus)
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion where animations run
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately
  • Minimum interactive target sizing on key controls

Known limitations

Some third-party content, admin tooling and continuously scrolling galleries may not yet meet every WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion. We prioritise public-facing content and core journeys (home, about, membership, contact).

Feedback

If you encounter a barrier, please contact secretariat@utaindia.com with the page URL, browser/assistive technology (if any), and a short description of the issue. We will use your feedback to improve accessibility.
